HealthYes! ™will provide free osteoporosis screening during St. David’s Mommy and Baby Expo 2009
Austin, Texas, May 17, 2009
What: May is Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention Month
Osteoporosis is a major public health threat for an estimated 44 million Americans, or 55 percent of people 50 years of age and older.
HealthYes!™, Texas’ leading mobile medical screening provider, will be offering FREE osteoporosis screenings during St. David’s Health Care’s Mommy and Baby Expo 2009.
If undetected and left untreated, osteoporosis will typically progress, painlessly, until a bone breaks – often in the hip, spine, or wrist. Statistically, life-expectancy decreases dramatically following such a break, according to The National Institutes of Health. One in three women over 50 will experience osteoporotic fractures, as will one in five men.
HealthYes!™ is giving free osteoporosis screenings in an effort to raise awareness in Central Texas of the dangers of osteoporosis and the importance maintaining bone health.
Where: Free osteoporosis screenings Palmer Events Center 900 Barton Springs Rd.
When: Sunday May 17, 2009 12noon-6pm
Who: HealthYes!™ will have an osteoporosis expert available interviews along with participants.

formally trained to conduct screenings and all results are reviewed by locally based, board-certified radiologists.
More than a quality screening, HealthYes! provides clients with detailed, clinically relevant analysis and ultrasound images within four business
