Who We Are
HealthYes! is a premier provider of mobile medical screenings based in Austin, Texas.
Established in 2007 to meet the demand for more comprehensive and responsible screening services, HealthYes!
is not only dedicated to getting people the information they need to stay healthy, but getting it to them
quickly, and making sure it's accessible for future use.
When HealthYes! co-founders Dale Wood and Craig Lindley realized that there was a genuine need for a preventive
screening company that provided detailed results in a reasonable time frame, they did what enterprising Americans do;
they got to work and found a way to meet that need. They believed that you could give people all of the information
their doctors would need to make informed decisions and they believed that you could do it in just a few days.
Just one years later, HealthYes! is helping thousands of Americans live healthier, happier lives by empowering
them to take control of their own health. By identifying risk factors for cardiovascular diseases that can lead
to Heart Attack and Stroke, HealthYes! is giving people and their doctors critical information in time to make
smart choices. The screening results provided to clients by HealthYes! include actual images and specific
measurements and are reviewed by board-certified, partner physicians. When HealthYes! clients take their
results to own their personal doctors, those doctors don't have to guess at the severity of a condition that's
been identified.
Real results = Actual images and specific
measurements.
Reasonable time = Results five times faster
than the competition (4 days vs. 21).
Still, HealthYes! has managed to keep these screenings affordable so that people who need them can get them. Making
people aware of asymptomatic conditions and giving them the information they need quickly, so that they can avoid a
catastrophic event and stay healthy, is the mission of HealthYes! Preventive Sceening.
The Screenings We Offer
We offer screenings for Carotid Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), Arterial Stiffness, Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm (AAA) and Osteoporosis.
In each of the first three tests, identification of atherosclerotic (or plaque) build-up is the goal. This build-up
can occur just about anywhere in the circulatory system, blocking arteries and causing a Heart Attack or Stroke
without any prior signs or symptoms. The last two tests look to identify any ballooning of the abdominal aorta and
diminished bone density respectively. Rupture of an aortic aneurysm, which is inevitable if left untreated, is
typically fatal, and bone loss typically indicates the onset of disease and the associated risk of disabling fractures.
In most cases, our clients are over 40 years of age and come to us knowing that their lifestyle choices, such as
smoking or eating poorly, or family history have put them at risk.
How We Identify Asymptomatic Conditions, or "Silent Killers"
For starters, we rigorously examine the qualifications of our medical teams. Our ultrasound technologists are
highly skilled and are either registered or eligible to be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic
Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Our skilled staff is the first layer of quality control. Our state-of-the-art
technology is the second.
We use screening technology so advanced that it could, in theory, be used by almost anyone. Developed for
battlefield use by the US Military, these mobile medical machines are designed to be fool-proof. In the hands
of our experienced screenings teams these devices exceed the medical community's gold-standard for accuracy
and quality of results.
All screenings are performed in accordance with the latest medical standards and under the guidance of our
Medical Advisory Board. Both our vascular technologists and medical assistants adhere to strict protocols to
ensure consistency and accuracy, urging individuals with concerning results to contact their personal physicians
who can then order any further testing necessary and make treatment recommendations accordingly.
Validity and Medical Oversight
Tests like those offered by HealthYes! have been independently reviewed by researchers at the University of
South Florida and the Cleveland Clinic. Sensitivity is 100%. Specificity is 94%. Excellent concordance was
found between the results of preventive screening and those of an ICAVL accredited laboratory.
Medical supervision is provided by our Medical Advisory Board, which currently consists of National Medical
Director Dr. Charles J. Burch, board certified in Critical Care and Internal Medicine, and supporting physicians
Robert A. Cook, MD and Shirat Ling, DO, both board certified in Family Medicine. All interpreting physicians
also carry board certification, including Dr. Michael T. Harper, Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.
HealthYes! is a non-referral agency. We do not refer individuals for further examinations or consultation to any
particular doctor nor do we permit our physician reviewers to self-refer. No Medicaid, Medicare or insurance
billing is involved.
