Warning Signs & Symptoms
Herein lies the problem. The large majority of Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysms don’t have any symptoms. Like other cardiovascular
diseases, Triple As are considered a “silent killer.”
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms that are detected are often found accidentally
during exams or tests done for other reasons. Our Abdominal Aortic
Aneurysm Screening can identify life threatening conditions early,
allowing your physician to take corrective action.
Approximately 200,000 cases of AAA
are diagnosed each year with many more going undetected.
For the small percentage of individuals that do experience symptoms,
the most common symptom is pain. It is typically a deep pain,
as if boring into the lower abdomen and lower back. Some may
also experience an abnormal pulsation in their belly.
Like other diseases we screen for, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
often develop without symptoms and are best prevented and managed
when identified early. Our screenings provide valuable and potentially
life-saving information that should be shared with your physician.
We invite you to make the decision to be proactive and join us for
a screening event in your community.
